Baselift electric linear actuator used to adjust mattress firmness in a comfort bed

Actuator systems in comfort beds is no longer limited to adjusting neck, back, legs or feet up and down. In fact, this type of system will regulate the firmness of the mattress in zones to increase comfort instead.

The system is based around the compact linear actuator Baselift™ which can be easily fitted under most beds or in most bed frames. It is essentially an actuator which can adjust firmness of a mattress by pushing upwards into the mattress from below. The setup can vary depending on the need. However, the Baselift™ can run 100 mm, which is all that is needed in the bed comfort zones.

System setup

The most common setup is between 1-4 comfort zones which can then be regulated by the user. To mention a few, this could be the hip area and shoulder area. However, the actual possibilities are much more.

Example

A comfort zone regulation system consists of the relevant number of Baselift™ actuators, a CBD6S control box, BLE2LIN dongle, a suitable hand control and the relevant cables.
