Mattress zone adjustment: a new addition to the comfort bed market

For many years, comfort bed innovation has focused on adjusting sleeping positions through movable backrests and leg rests. Today, another type of adjustment is beginning to attract attention in the bedding industry: mattress zone adjustment.  

Rather than changing the position of the bed, mattress zone adjustment allows users to adjust the firmness and support of selected areas of the mattress. This creates new possibilities for individual comfort and offers manufacturers an additional feature to incorporate into bed designs.

To support this development, LINAK has introduced a mattress zone adjustment concept based on the electric linear actuator Baselift™. Installed beneath the mattress, the actuators can increase support in selected comfort zones, allowing users to adjust mattress firmness with a hand control.

The concept is designed to integrate easily into bed designs and offers manufacturers a straightforward way to introduce electrically adjustable mattress firmness without relying on air compartments or extensive mattress modifications. At the same time, it offers consumers greater control over comfort while giving brands a distinctive feature to add to their product portfolio.
