Flexible, powerful, and reliable performance with LA42

The possibility to specify the rotation of the LA42 motor housing in 10-degree increments to optimally match an application can change the way that manufacturers of high-end health and care devices approach their design challenges.

LINAK LA42

Flexibility that lets form follow function

In fewer cases will manufacturers be required to work around the design of the actuator; now they can design their application with less concern about the actuator’s fit, and truly allow form to follow function. This is LINAK® at its best, consistently demonstrating a commitment to innovation and continually advancing technology to enhance the lives of those who design and develop cutting-edge solutions.

Reliable and powerful performance with low noise

The LA42 offers a strong and reliable lifting capacity with a push load of 7,000 N and dynamic pull load of 3,500 N – enough to provide rock-solid positioning and low noise where it counts. Its compact form allows designers more options in space-constrained situations while a washable IPX6 standard enables hygienic cleaning in today’s clinical environments.

LA42 stands out from the rest of the LINAK actuator lineup with is fantastic speed to force ratio. This actuator can manage pushing 1000N at speeds of around 26 mm/s, compared to the 15 mm/s average of previous LINAK actuators in its size category.

Configuration freedom

The LA42 is flexible in terms of its unique configuration possibilities and can be linked in systems with several LA42 actuators via the Power Junction Box PJB4, which branches out from a single PCP port to three ports. The LA42 and PJB4 are compatible with control boxes that have PCP 2.0 like CO71 and LIFT50™, where PCP communication allows the LA42 to maintain its actuator channel regardless of which PCP port it is connected to.

LA42 is the go-to actuator for compact applications with the need for power and flexibility. With its new composite motor housing, the LA42 is even more robust than the previous compact LINAK actuators and measures up favourably against some of the more powerful LINAK actuators.
Lars Øgaard, Systems Manager for LINAK

The versatile LA42 actuator can operate independently or within a system, irrespective of the system’s complexity. It supports the use of customisable movement patterns through software configuration, making it ideal for a variety of positioning options in the application, such as memory positions, parallel movement, or smooth acceleration curves. With a strong, reliable lifting capacity and low noise, the LA42 actuator offers seamless integration and efficient performance with no compromises.

Quality when it counts

For high-end healthcare applications and care environments where only the best will do, the LA42 is the perfect choice for manufacturers who want to differentiate their products with state-of-the-art flexibility and power in a small package. The LA42 is designed for a wide range of applications within the healthcare sector, such as surgery and x-ray tables, medical carts, hospital beds, couches, and dental chairs.
