The birth of a brilliant idea
LINAK is a family business. In 1976, Bent Jensen took over the family company founded by his grandfather, and began developing the electric linear actuator. Today, LINAK develops and manufactures electric actuator systems that provide smooth, reliable movement across a wide range of applications. The solutions are used in three main areas, where precise movement supports ergonomics and functionality.
Number of employees
LINAK employs more than 2,500 skilled employees globally. From development and production to sales and support, teams work together to develop innovative actuator solutions used in a wide range of applications, helping improve everyday life and working environments.
LINAK Group headquarters and factories
To ensure efficient service and logistics, LINAK has production facilities in a number of countries. The main production and R&D are located at headquarters in Denmark. To meet regional market demands quickly, LINAK also has additional production facilities in Dongguan (China), Louisville (USA), Prešov (Slovakia), and Chonburi province (Thailand).
LINAK headquarters
Since 1982, LINAK has been headquartered in Guderup, Denmark. Today, the site houses manufacturing facilities and group management. More than 90% of production is exported, and ongoing growth has required several expansions of the facilities.

LINAK USA
In 1999, LINAK opened its first production plant outside Denmark. A rapidly growing US market required a more local presence, and a factory was established in Louisville, Kentucky. LINAK US, Inc. serves as headquarters for North and South American operations.

LINAK China
In May 2006, LINAK established its second production facility outside Denmark. Shenzhen became the location of production in China. In 2026 LINAK China relocated its entire factory operation from Shenzhen to a new modern production facility in Dongguan, near Hong Kong. The plant produces solely for the Chinese market, while business administration functions remain to be located in Shenzhen.

LINAK Slovakia
In January 2008, LINAK opened its third production facility. The facility is located in Prešov, Slovakia. As well as providing access to the central European market, Prešov helps maintain an efficient production capacity.

LINAK APAC
The LINAK APAC factory and distribution centre is situated in Thailand. It is built on the same principles as the other sites, focusing on the modern production technology, Lean Manufacturing, and process control to ensure products and services as close to customers as possible.

LINAK Profiles
LINAK Profiles became part of LINAK in January 2018. The factory is located close to the LINAK headquarters and specialises in the production of welded steel profiles for various lifting columns. The 6,500 m² production area is predominantly automated and used modern robotics.
