Different types of systems for different types of needs! Ergonomic optimisation and lifting strategies for bathing sessions can be accomplished in different ways. One option is to have a bathtub capable of lifting and lowering ensuring the best ergonomic conditions for the carer. Another option is ensuring easy access to the bathtub by adding a door, which can open and close electrically enabling a sick or elderly person to gain easy and safe access to the bathtub.
For patients, disabled people or the elderly who have a more extensive need for care a chair lowering the person into the bathtub or the swimming pool is an option. All these different kinds of bath lifts
require different systems, and LINAK has a solution for all of them.
There are different types of principles but a typical bath lift system is built up around 3-6 main products. One or more lifting actuators
performing the movement up and down and ensuring ergonomically correct working conditions for the healthcare personnel. A door opener actuator ensures safety and comfort for the patient when entering and leaving the bathtub.
If a chair is mounted to lower the patient into the bathtub or the swimming pool actuators are mounted to lift, turn and lower the patient in the water, a control box
controlling the movement and a hand control
to activate the required motion. The specification of each of these products truly depends on your individual need and requirements.
Depending on bath lift principle and functionality, a system would be built up around one of each category products. No matter what solution you choose you will get a top class system that improves the quality of life for the users by improving ergonomics and providing a reliable, smooth and coordinated movement.
When choosing a MEDLINE®
system there are many possible ways of combining an optimal system solution. LINAK provides flexibility and freedom of choice between many different options. Our OpenBus systems add the possibility to make flexible solutions according to your needs. Movement patterns can be defined and achieved via positioning options in our actuators and software.
Depending on your requirements, we have the right product portfolio offering great flexibility when it comes to specifying the most valuable system for you. Systems that among other things are known for their reliability and safety. All our systems are tested and approved as systems. This makes it easy for you to get your bath lift approved.
Depending on your needs for functionality and accessories, we provide different control box choices. The software inside the control boxes can be customised or you can get standard software. OpenBus control boxes provide a high safety level and various moving patterns according to your requests.
You can choose among different OpenBus control boxes depending on your needs. The CB6S
provides up to 4 channels and the CB16
up to 5 channels. Both solutions ensure reliable movement and high safety. With a CB20
, it is possible to add up to 6 actuators and more control units.
For swimming pool lifts, a CBJ1, CBJ2
are good choices due to the battery capacity and the user-friendliness.
Lifting actuators for different load capacities are available. The LA31
is our silent and well-proven solution when handling high loads, the LA34
is available for handling even higher load and the LA44
when handling highest load. All actuators are strong choices for lifting and lowering patients into bathtubs or in and out of swimming pools (LA34).
and the LA30
are compact solutions making it easy to integrate into a bathtub or as door opener. Lifting columns such as the BL1
are great solutions for lifting bathtubs.
Controlling the bathtub or the bath chair can be done by using a hand control. Our HB80
or the HB70
are good choices. The HB80 provides an ergonomic design and is rated IPX6 Washable for high water resistance.
